Solar water heating
Solar System
The Solensis solar water heating system uses the energy from the sun to preheat the water before it goes into the traditional hot water tank. By preheating the water with solar energy, the traditional water heater requires less energy to heat the water up to the desired temperature.
Visually aesthetic, sensors glasses look like skylights.
There are six liters of edible grade glycol circulating to heat the water. Glycol has the advantage of being resistant to freezing and easily absorbs heat without being toxic. Heat is transferred from the propylene glycol to the domestic water heat exchanger, which is in the energy pack. The energy pack is the box installed on the side of the preheating storage tank, which contains the pump, the heat exchanger and the system controller, and filling valves and safety features.
The Solensis solar water heater is designed and made in Canada which ensures it can withstand the extremes of the Canadian climate and is appropriate for Canadian building standards.
